A firm believer that the Canadian media industry gets stronger through collaboration, Victoria enthusiastically embraces opportunities to exchange knowledge and perspectives with her peers.
At over 50 different industry conferences throughout North America, Victoria has been invited and paid to present as a keynote speaker, panellist, moderator, masterclass guest lecturer, and workshop series leader. In addition, she’s been invited across the country to speak at educational institutions to post-secondary students in the Digital Media Production programs.
Her successful shift into the digital realm led to a teaching opportunity where she spent two years at Toronto’s Story Arts Centre, Centennial College as a part-time postgraduate instructor building the curriculum and teaching media professionals in the Interactive Media Management program. In this role she mentored media professionals in strategizing and executing their own next steps into the multi-platform media industry.
In 2014, she was a contributing content blogger for the CMF Trendscape publication and produced a number of video blogs where she offered insights about the impact of emerging technology on audience engagement.
Because she finds it very fulfilling to mentor and guide young female content creators in the screen-based industry, Victoria volunteered as a member of the Board of Directors from 2018 - 2020 with Women in Film & Television Toronto (WIFT-T) where she also sat on the Digital Strategy Advisory Committee.
Victoria has exhaustive knowledge of all aspects of the digital media sector, from development and production, to funding and discoverability. She has an excellent understanding of developmental needs, digital innovation and transformation.
